The Importance of a Teacher's help

“To stop the mind, our ability must be very powerful. It is nearly an impossible job if we have to do it by ourselves, that’s why we need to get power from outside. When I meditated, my mind had to get help from the enlightenment minds of Mogok Sayadaw, Sunlun Sayadaw, and Theinngu Sayadaw, they’re mind is pure and very powerful. Without they’re help, the pure mind wouldn’t have been able to defy the ordinary mind in me. There wouldn’t have been enough power to overcome the desires of my very eager mind.

“Because of the help from the pure mind of Buddha and his Sangha, finally the mind stopped in me and only the mind resting in peace remains… Stopping mind defeated working mind. Without the help the enlightened mind, it would have been too dificult, if not impossible. That’s why I have to pay respect to the quality of mind achieved by Buddha and his Sangha – to Mogok, Sunlun, and Theingu sayadaws – for their invaluable help.”
